UNPAID CARE WORK

This project focuses on understanding and reducing the heavy burden of unpaid care work placed on families—especially women and girls—who care for children with developmental disabilities in Ghana. It will explore how this unpaid work affects families, whether inclusive education helps reduce the burden, and what practical solutions could better support caregivers. The study will work closely with caregivers, policymakers, and community groups to develop evidence-based recommendations that improve support systems and promote fairness and well-being for affected families.
