CLCD has a global health research training program for undergraduate and graduate school students. Started in 2017, our interns have come from several universities in the United States and Ghana, Including Brown University, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Oakland University. Our interns have presented their work at conferences, including a joint meeting between UNICEF and the World Bank, and the American Public Health Association. They have also submitted their work for undergraduate and graduate level thesis. Some of them have received awards (grants and poster presentation awards) for their work with CLCD, like Blessed Sheriff (Brown University and Kristin Watkoske (Oakland University), and Faren White (Tougaloo University). One student also created a documentary on the lived experiences of caregivers with children living with a disability.
