This project explores how being born too early affects children’s growth and development by looking at the roles of the child, the family, and the community. It will follow 1,200 infants and their caregivers in two hospitals to understand what puts some children at higher risk. The study will also learn from families whose preterm babies are doing well, so their successful practices can inform support programs for other families.
